Hello, I'm Donghyun (Danny) Kim, incoming 2nd year Biomedical Engineering student at Imperial College London. My primary investment thesis involves identifying overvalued assets with bearish outlook and using inverse leveraged ETFs to invest against them. Utilising my macroeconomic knowledge and historical trends, I've outperformed S&P 500 during my 4 years of portfolio management. My successes have been attributed to positions against sectors including the commercial real estate market, Chinese ETFs, US long term Treasury Bonds and many others. Risk management is also crucial in my success with diversified asset allocation which I learned while attaining level 4 Diploma in Sales and Trading, and Applied Asset Management by AmplifyME. Debt crisis in consumer loans and commercial real estate market, along with continuous credit ratings downgrades on US major banks indicate tightened credit conditions and the Federal Reserve's monetary policy finally materialising. I'm looking to manipulate the deteriorating global economy to profit during global economic hardship. I'm looking to experience both buy and sell side of corporate finance during the spring insight programme in 2024, and hoping to look beyond the sector including private equity, venture capitalist and real estate investment firms.
