==Idea==

At Celtic Renewables, our proposition is simple: we take residual by-products, initially from the whisky industry, which are produced in large volumes & problematic to dispose of and use our internationally patented process to convert them into high-value low carbon products, namely Acetone, Butanol, Ethanol & animal feed; markets set to be worth £130bn by 2025. These products play an important role in our daily lives & are used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, hygiene products and advanced biofuels.

Since our raise in November 2020:

* We’ve completed construction of our flagship biorefinery in Grangemouth, Scotland & have now entered the production phase.
* Our first customer, Caldic, a major global distributor for the food, pharma & personal care industries (approx. €900m 2020 revenue), has signed a 3-year multi million pound contract and will distribute >50% of the solvents produced by the 1st plant, we have a number of LOIs in place with other global chemical companies
* Our biochemicals have been independently verified as carbon negative compared to petrochemical equivalents over their lifetime

We are now raising investment to begin to build & launch our next, larger-scale plants with discussions well underway with a number of multinational companies, including a major F&B company that would provide brand new types of feedstocks, on which we’ve held successful trials.
