Wuolah believes that everyone needs help passing their university tests; that's why they exist. Their research indicates Wuolah is one of the largest collaborative and 100% free platforms for sharing study material among students. It has 2M+ registered users and aims to keep growing. After this raise they will start planning their expansion into new countries in LatAm.
Valkyrie Industries is the maker of the wearable haptic suit (BiFrost) to let users feel, touch and hold objects naturally in virtual simulations. With the primary application in the space robotics market (estimated $4.36bn in 2023), BiFrost has been piloted successfully with a UK space agency.

In 2015, we identified a problem: at some point, everyone needs help passing a university test but there isn’t a free, collaborative, and centralized hub where students can find and share helpful materials related to their studies. Enter Wuolah; a free platform where students upload their study materials and receive an economic reward for doing so. Other students can then use those materials to pass their tests.
Globally Augmented reality (AR) and Virtual reality market is estimated to reach $1 trillion by 2030, at CAGR of 42.9%. While the major application for VR is found in gaming, it is shaping our future beyond entertainment. Some industrial application including design & engineering for the automotive industry, surgical training for medical doctors and many others.

Traction:
At Valkyrie Industries, we have developed a wearable haptic suit (BiFrost) to let users feel, touch and hold objects naturally in virtual simulations. Our vision is simple. We want to recreate the human nervous system with technology.

* 1M students have used Wuolah this academic year
Our first pilot project with a UK Space Agency was a success. The objective of the pilot is to develop a robotic arm to use in space, operated using haptics enhanced VR to transmit information such as pressure, vibration and resistance.
* 4M+ uploaded files and 9000+ active content creators
* 30M+ files are downloaded each year
* 20 min average session duration
* Organic growth with a strong virality on social media.
* Wuolah is the nº1 result on Google when searching for the word ‘apuntes’ (course notes) which is helping us become one of the largest Spanish speaking student communities

We monetise by placing ads on study materials uploaded by users. Ads are therefore seen during long revision hours by those who download the materials. Our model has attracted brands like Netflix, HBO and Burger King, making us the “YouTube for study materials”.
BiFrost is ready for early adoption (TRL 6)

With our fundraising we want to expand into Mexico and start running experiments in 5 new countries within LatAm to keep growing. We also want to add new functionalities like the possibility for creators to share premium materials so that they can make more money on Wuolah.
Milestone achieved

* Completed 2 demos to BMW Startup Garage and Evonik; pilots completed with Storyfutures and UK Space Agency
* Letter of intent from 7 companies covering both collaborations and leasing of the product
* Awards: GoTech Awards, The Alconics (shortlist), Jumpstarter

We plan to offer our first development kit BiFrost to early adopters at $10,000 per month, with full technical support.

Funding will be used to continue to develop our technology, support our early adopters and strengthen our IP protection.
