It primarily holds interest in the Cajueiro project, covering an area of 24,076 hectares; the Apiacas project, which covers 80,231 hectares; and the Santa Helena project that covers 58,867 hectares in the Alta Floresta Gold Belt in Northern Mato Grosso, Brazil. The company was formerly known as Equitas Resources Corp. and changed its name to Altamira Gold Corp. in April 2017. Altamira Gold Corp. was incorporated in 1994 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
