The company was formerly known as PT Transindo Multi Prima Tbk and changed its name to PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk in August 2000. The company was founded in 1930 and is headquartered in South Jakarta, Indonesia. PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk is a subsidiary of British American Tobacco (2009 PCA) Ltd.
