The company also leases land. As of December 31, 2020, it had 23 solar PV farm projects, 14 solar rooftop projects, and 3 biomass powerplants with a total production capacity of 299.94 MW; and 1 solar floating project under construction with a capacity of 8 MW. The company was formerly known as Siam Solar Energy Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Thai Solar Energy Public Company Limited in 2009. Thai Solar Energy Public Company Limited was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
