Montana Exploration Corp. explores for, develops, and produces petroleum and natural gas reserves in Alberta, Montana, Texas, and Tennessee. It has a land base of approximately 400,000 acres in Blaine County, Montana, the United States; and holds approximately 7,876 net acres at Viking Kinsella, Alberta. The company was formerly known as AltaCanada Energy Corp. and changed its name to Montana Exploration Corp. in February 2011. Montana Exploration Corp. is based in Calgary, Canada.
