1Spatial, a global leader in location and geospatial software solutions and Location Master Data Management, is pleased to provide an update on continued customer momentum, operational execution and new strategic partnerships.

Continued Customer Momentum and Operational Execution

A focus on improved sales execution continues to drive forward momentum at 1Spatial, with good progress on winning new business and selling more to existing customers; examples of which are set out below. Management have also made advancements in the integration of Geomap-Imagis, 1Spatial's French acquisition, completed in May 2019.

The Bureau of Meteorology - Win in Australia

1Spatial has been selected in an open tender by The Bureau of Meteorology in Australia to provide software and services. The total value of the deal is in excess of A$1m - part term licence (over 3 years), part services.  The Bureau of Meteorology is an executive agency of the Australian Government responsible for providing weather services to Australia and surrounding areas.

New customer success in US

1Spatial's solutions excel in situations of big data sets with the need for process automation; which is exactly the issue being faced by the US government sector. There are significant opportunities for our software at every level in the US government where specific spatial data issues are concentrated, which is the biggest driver for 1Spatial's significant momentum in the sector.

For context, back in 2015 1Spatial had three clients in the US solutions business and the biggest client was US Census. 1Spatial now have more than 30 clients with no single customer reliance. Some new wins during FY20 include:

  • Rhode Island Department of Transport
  • West Virginia Department of Transport
  • Pennsylvania Department of Transport
  • Massachusetts Department of Transport
  • Alabama Department of Transport
  • Cuyahoga County

Good traction with French acquisition

1Spatial is pleased to report that following the acquisition of Geomap-Imagis in May 2019, the integration process is progressing well and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of the calendar year.

The merits of the deal are becoming increasingly clear, with 1Spatial already secured encouraging levels of new orders. New orders are currently amounting to around €500k per month to both new and existing clients, excluding support and maintenance renewals, and is supported by a strong and growing pipeline of opportunities.

New Strategic Partnerships

As part of a planned go-to-market initiative to expand routes to market and to accelerate the uptake of 1Spatial's technology through partners, the team continues to work hard securing strategic partnerships in key markets. Good traction has been made over recent months, including alliances with the following:

Neueda - new partnership agreement in UK and Ireland

1Spatial has signed a partnership agreement with IT provider, Neueda.

Neueda has a 3-year contract with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland (DAERA) to provide application development, technical delivery support, testing and GIS services. As its first collaboration under this new partnership, 1Spatial will provide geospatial solutions and support to Neueda in its execution of its DAERA contract. The partnership will enable Neueda and 1Spatial to collaborate on other opportunities, as well as enabling 1Spatial to continue providing services to DAERA.

Michael Baker DataMark - 1Integrate embedded into Michael Baker DataMark platform

DataMark, the Next Generation 911 (NG911) division of Michael Baker International, signed an agreement with 1Spatial in 2018 to integrate the Group's 1Integrate technology into the DataMark platform, with 1Spatial receiving a fixed revenue share.

Though the partnership is still developing, there seems to be good traction with initial sales to a number of DataMark's customers. Longer term, with c. 3,000 counties across the 50 states, all of which could be potential customers, the addressable market of the partnership is significant.

Commenting on the update, 1Spatial CEO, Claire Milverton, said:

"I am pleased to report good progress across the Group. Our go-to-market approach is seeing increasing traction with a number of new strategic partnerships and contracts as well as expansion of existing relationships, reflecting our approach of growing customer relationships and the strong proposition which 1Spatial is able to offer. We remain on-track with the integration of Geomap-Imagis and excited by the opportunity the deal presents."
