They are called Hard Seltzers. They are low calorie, naturally flavoured alcoholic drinks that tap into the dominant consumer trend of Wellness & Well-Being in a convenient packaged format.

Bodega Bay was the 1st Hard Seltzer brand to launch in the UK, back in June 2019. Since then we have sold over 1.5m cans, with listings in Tesco, Morrison’s and most crucially many of the UK’s best bar groups. Last financial year, our 2nd year, we did over £500K turnover (EBITDA -£727k)..

We’ve built a crack team with extensive experience in senior roles at successful drinks companies.

Charlie Markland [Founder] has worked in the UK alcoholic drinks industry for several years with some of the most successful companies: Budweiser when they launched Estrella Damm beer, Asahi [Peroni] and he was the 4th person into Kopparberg Cider when it launched. He has been in senior leadership roles managing sales and marketing teams.

Bertrand Nicoli [Partner & COO] was the 6th person into Mindful Chef running their finance and operations team. After 4 years they successfully exited to Nestle. His experience in start ups and scaling a business was forged there.

Adrian Hirst [Strategy/Part-time] a veteran in the drinks industry with extensive experience and credited with growing the Kopparberg cider brand and team in the UK from the first pallet sold to a £160 million business.

Luis Coutinho [Head of Marketing] is a strategic thinker and commercial minded all rounded marketer with years of experience leading all marketing efforts for successful drinks brands.

Grace Gilroy [Marketing Executive] graduated in Fine Arts from Loughborough University, a really talented artist, digitally savvy and a creative force in our marketing activities.
