==Summary== Cloud 9 is a new, exciting active indoor leisure experience for ALL ages. A world where gladiator, ninja warrior & total wipe-out experiences collide. The pop-up has proven popular over last 2 years (75% full over first 5 months Y3), therefore we want to launch our first spectacular permanent venue. * Great customer response with a Facebook rating of 4.8/5 * Aim to create a large & spectacular permanent venue to meet customer demand * Part-time pop-up is already profitable. * Days Out With The Kids - Family Favourites London finalist 2018 ==Idea== <vimeo>415919447</vimeo> The world is changing, rapidly! Obesity, stress, electric gadget/social media obsession, and mental health issues are serious problems facing today’s society. It's no surprise that people are looking for fun things to do to offset these problems. Our vision is to create the UK's most popular, fun and active leisure destination, for all ages. A world where gladiator, ninja warrior & total wipe-out experience collide. The main activities will be based on inflatables to provide a safe experience. Cloud 9 launched as a part-time pop up (weekends & school holidays) in November 2017, in Watford. The temporary venue was not ideal (a large school sports hall, half the size needed, no in-house catering and no ability for on-site marketing). It was a great way to prove the concept and was always a stepping stone to what we aim to launch. Customer response has been positive. 45% full in year 1, 60% in year 2 and 75% over the first 5 months of year 3 prior to lockdown. We are already profitable (FY'19 £229k revenue, £10.7k EBITDA). Funds raised will help launch our 1st permanent Cloud 9 venue in 2020, then roll-out across the UK. We envisage our Cloud 9 venues being much more than just inflatables – i.e. to also appeal to adults, a spectacular interior design, a cool licenced bar and café serving delicious food and drinks, unique private event/party rooms, plus other entertainment activities. ==Team== ANDREW FAIRNINGTON (Co-founder & CEO) Andrew is a father of 2, a qualified accountant (ACA) with PriceWaterhouseCoopersand spent the first 9 years of his career in accounting and the corporate finance industry. He has spent the 17 years prior to Cloud 9 in investment banking, advising professional (institutional) investors on UK stock market investment opportunities and IPO's. MEGAN THOMAS (Co-founder & Creative/HR Director, Part-Time) Megan is a mother of 2, and a professional prosthetics artist in the UK’s Film & TV industry, running a well known UK medical drama for the past 10 years, as well as working on many movies. Megan is most definitely the creative one and also runs all aspects of HR. MARSELLE BUYS (Operations Director, Part-Time) Marselle is a father of 4, and has over 10 years of experience working for a number of hotel groups and residential and commercial property developments. Marselle is our operations manager and has been at Cloud 9 since its inception. As very proud parents, (8 kids in total) and very active ourselves, we have a lot of personal experience in every possible indoor leisure experience, which helps give us practical knowledge of what kids and adults are looking for in terms of a fun day/evening out.
