SummaryEdit

EMotive is developing a 6 wheel drive all-electric off-road commercial vehicle platform. The configurable solution has led to early interest from Utility providers, Agriculture and Fire Services. Aiming to achieve verification & validation of working prototypes with customers in 2022, with the intention of delivering air quality improvements around the world.

  • 5 years of R&D and £1.1m invested to date
  • Early stage conversations in regards to technology licencing with a UAE corporation
  • Global off-highway EV market worth $5.48 billion with CAGR of 21%
  • Initial letter of support from National Farmers Union

IdeaEdit

The UK government plans to phase out the sale of new diesel and petrol heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) by 2040.

Our mission is to help by creating a zero-emission solution for industries requiring specialist vehicles such as Construction, Agriculture and Mining.

The market for global off-highway vehicles is expected to grow at a CAGR of 21% from 2020 to 2027 but the overall development cost for vehicles entering this market is significant. We will support the cost-effective adoption of zero-emission vehicles by producing a versatile commercial vehicle platform that can be produced by manufacturers for various uses, under licence.

The concept is built around a bespoke chassis architecture, designed to be modulated with pure electric drive to either 2, 4 or 6 wheels individually. It’s been designed to use multiple different sources of propulsion such as Hybrid power plants, State of the art Ni-rich NMC battery technology, and hydrogen fuel cells.

Our demonstrator vehicle represents 5 years of engineering R&D and is now a rolling chassis with the control system architecture in development.

We are in early stage discussions with one of the worlds leading producers and suppliers of firefighting equipment.

Funds raised will be used to integrate the powertrain into the prototype chassis, allowing us to complete the final demonstrations to manufacturing partners and end consumers.
