Governance.com is a multi award-winning company that provides regulated financial institutions with simple, efficient and technology-enabled governance solutions - or as we like to call it - Digital Governance. Our integrated platform provides data aggregation, process automation, visualization and decision making tools that work harmoniously together to simplify processes. This allows companies to address one business process at a time and achieve results rapidly.

Governance.com was founded by twin brothers Bert and Rob Boerman in 2015, born out of a passion for enabling businesses to operate efficiently within one robust system, whilst significantly lowering their compliance spend. Gartner categorizes solutions like Governance.com as “DigitalOps toolkits”, and lists these toolkits as one of the top technology trends for 2020. Where we are different from others is that we are the only solution that connects all elements of DigitalOps toolkits in one integrated platform.

Overall the business has grown by 364% in the last 3 years (EUR 585k revenue, -EUR 691k loss at year end 2019).

Already serving Tier 1 clients, Governance.com was listed as a Top 50 European FinTech company in 2018 alongside unicorns N26 and Revolut.

Team

Bert Boerman, CEO

Bert has extensive experience in banking. He held a number of senior positions (including Senior Vice President) at ABN AMRO Bank. Bert left the bank in 2014 to focus on Governance.com. His vision is to reinvent fund governance using technology to make regulatory oversight simple and transparent.

Rob Boerman, CTO

Rob was CTO of a Dutch online customer satisfaction company. Rob has not only the capacity to work out solutions, but also to develop them concretely and implement precisely, thanks to his technical expertise.

Ralf Ferner, CSD

Ralf has extensive experience in the financial sector. Earlier in his career, Ralf was CEO of two Luxembourg-based fund management companies, and also served as CEO for a German technology start-up.

Georges Bock, CSO (part time)

Georges is Chief Strategist and Board Member at Governance.com. During his 27-year career at KPMG Luxembourg, Georges held numerous positions including Managing Partner and Global Chair of the KPMG Funds Tax Network.

Gavin Bijker-Sparks, COO

Originally Head of Project Management, Gavin is now COO and optimises the functionality of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Jesse Thiel, Business Development Director Jesse has extensive experience in the tech industry, having led teams in account management, sales and marketing. Prior to Governance.com, he held a senior position at Diligent Corporation.
