==Team== At Mash Paddle Brewery we are passionate about two things: social inclusion and brewing great beer. Our social mission is to help ex-offenders and the NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or training) population within our local area, through training and apprenticeship programmes. Providing positions from taproom assistants, brewing assistants all the way through to master brewers, a level 4 apprenticeship qualification. With initial funding from the Forward Trust, we are in early stage conversations with the Ministry of Justice’s New Futures Network, who broker partnerships between prisons and employers. With over 60,000 people leaving prison each year in the UK, and studies showing that employment post-conviction is proven to reduce re-offending rates by ~23%, Mash Paddle Brewery aims to help break the cycle of re-offending. '''Nick, Founder and CEO''' An ex-management consultant with over a decade of experience consulting to financial services and food & beverage suppliers, Nick has spent the last decade brewing beer in kitchens and railway arches around London. Published in Ferment magazine and CAMRA’s BEER magazine on the subjects of homebrewing and sustainability in homebrewing, Nick is passionate about bringing the art of homebrewing to the people, and providing a great solution for London’s space-constrained brewers!
