We launched SunGod in 2013 to disrupt the £109bn eyewear industry dominated by brand inflation and fast fashion. We’re a challenger brand, with an obsessive approach to product innovation that has created a range stacked with timeless sunglasses and ski goggles, with 4.9/5★ customer reviews.

You can only buy SunGod from SunGod. Our direct-to-consumer model is creating exceptional customer experiences (NPS: 79) and accelerating our growth. 92k customers have joined us so far. With no outside investment, sales have grown at 54% CAGR since 2015 (9x increase), to reach £2.6m to Sept ‘20 (£8k EBITDA).

In 2020, we introduced 100% recycled and recyclable packaging, including microfibre pouches made from recycled plastic bottles. But we’re not done there - as a statement of our social and environmental ambitions, we’re striving to achieve B Corp status in 2021.

Covid-19 has presented a unique opportunity to fortify our growth. Our technology-led approach has allowed us to keep overheads low, while capitalising on increasing digital retail.

Georgina Craig, Head of Content, curates the SunGod brand identity through the production of inspiring digital content and this year produced our first feature-length film to be shown at major global film festivals.

Ione Walker, Head of Community, galvanizes our customers, transforming them into lifelong brand ambassadors, contributing to our world class NPS of 79.
