==Idea== <vimeo>518115371</vimeo> Rebel Energy is a new breed of clean energy supplier on a mission to address inequality and provide easy access to clean, affordable energy. We want to be a nimble, customer-focused model and a major player in a sector which we estimate will double by 2035. On top of this, studies show that consumers want to switch to ethical and affordable suppliers - like us. We aim to offer the best possible customer service. One, because we believe an energy company simply should, and two, because it gives us a competitive advantage. Good customer experience is a major reason why people stick around. We plan to automate a lot of processes to make our model lean, so our employees can focus on what really matters, like figuring out how to address inequality in our industry. Our pricing model, we believe, will be a UK energy supplier first. And affordability isn’t just about low prices - it’s about how they’re paid, so we plan to offer a weekly direct debit that works out no more than a monthly one. We will use next-generation credit checks and are committed to helping customers onto better tariffs. We believe this is important because 50% of UK households are financially vulnerable - causing 16,500+ cold-related deaths in 2018. We want to offer a model of what a successful, ethical and affordable energy supplier looks like. We want to be the best possible energy company in the UK.
