The £70B global garment care industry is broken. By washing our clothes we’re polluting our planet. Every year the UK laundry industry emits 265k tonnes of CO2 and uses 42% of our drinking water, equivalent to Lake Windermere. Washing clothes causes micro-plastic pollution, accounting for >35% of all ocean plastic. On top of this, 350,000 tonnes of clothing enter UK landfill every year, much of which is due to stains and fading of otherwise good clothes. | The £70B global garment care industry is broken.
