==Idea== <vimeo>625114579</vimeo> The overnight stay market globally is worth $1.2tn. But booking the right place can feel like a lottery, with 15m+ homes online to choose from. Our mission is to find and award the best homes out there with our trusted quality mark. Restaurants have the Michelin Star. Books have the New York Times bestseller list. Homes have the Plum Award. We launched in 2016 and grew 3 x YoY pre-Covid (2016: $1.2m sales/EBITDA -$813k 2019: $38m sales/EBITDA -$15m), with homes in 500+ locations and 29 countries. Most importantly, we’ve built a brand that guests love, with industry-leading NPS. When the pandemic hit, we focused on cracking acquiring supply faster and leaner, to capture maximum demand when it returned. That strategy is paying off already: since Dec 20 we’ve grown 4.5x from $668,949 (EBITDA -$1,002,268) to $3,014,761 in Sept 21 (EBITDA -$1,030,098). And we're recovering faster than the international travel. In August we were 90% recovered vs 2019, whilst international travel was just 26% recovered. We’ve just raised $9m from institutional investors Beringea, Talis, Hearst & LocalGlobe (Latitude). The next phase of our growth plan has 3 core pillars: # Continue to expand, growing supply in destinations our guest love # Invest in our tech & IP to further differentiate our exceptional guest and host experience # Build our brand with the vision to become the global trust mark in travel
