SummaryEdit

Mintos is a global award-winning marketplace that offers loans as a new alternative investment type to retail investors. As the leading platform in continental Europe with 340,000 investors, 28 million loans funded and a 45% market share, Mintos is fundraising to fuel growth and expand its product range.

  • Investor base of 340,000, growing at over 125% per year for 5 years
  • 45% market share in continental Europe with €5.7 bn in loans funded
  • In the process of obtaining Investment Firm and EMI licences
  • Alternative Finance Platform of the Year in 2019

IdeaEdit

Today, retail investors have few good investment opportunities. Bonds are under pressure in a low interest rate environment, and the stock market has become crowded.

We created Mintos to offer a new alternative investment type: consumer and small business loans. Retail investors come to Mintos to help boost their returns and diversify their investment portfolio.

Mintos is sitting at the intersection of strong market trends: Demand for retail investment is huge, with investors in the EU alone holding investments worth €7tn. At the same time, the loan supply available for investing – global non-bank lending – is €3tn.

Thanks to a strong product/market fit, we’ve grown into the market leader in continental Europe with a 45% market share. With additional funding, we plan to continue scaling up our business by focusing on customer acquisition and leveraging our customer base by offering new products.

We aim to secure Investment Firm and EMI licenses by early 2021, which will power us to do business across more European countries on a passporting basis, opening up large markets. We want to broaden our investment offerings by including loans with lower risk and return levels, and to provide new investment products (such as ETFs) and financial services (like Mintos IBAN account and debit card) to our customers.

We’re inviting you to join us at this pivotal point of our journey.
