IdeaEdit

REAP believe in challenging the norm to strive for greater performance. We've developed technologies in composites and aerodynamics to manufacture high-performance carbon-fibre bikes in the UK.

Founded in 2014 by composite engineer and triathlete Martin Meir, with what we consider to be minimal funding, we developed our first ever bike, which was awarded 95% by the UK’s leading triathlon magazine, 220 Triathlon – the highest rated bike they’d tested.

Since then we’ve developed an aero-road bike, an enhanced triathlon bike and a track bike with the goal to be class-leaders in aerodynamics and ride performance.

Most of the market outsource production to East-Asia, producing industry-wide generic results. As per our own research, we're the only manufacturer of carbon-fibre road bikes in the UK and make this choice to ensure control over every stage of the process to produce our desired performance output.

We operate a D2C model, allowing us greater control over the interactions with our customers, and greater scope to use the highest quality materials in the industry while maintaining competitive margins.

We've a commitment to performance. One embodied in no greater way than the investment of Sir Jason Kenny, REAP’s new Performance Partner. To expand in the €95bn global industry, we plan to engage in an extensive marketing strategy, as well as developing our site and new products.

TeamEdit

REAP adopt a collaborative approach to our development processes, drawing on the world-class minds that are part of British engineering and manufacturing. Quarterre, TotalSim, Dan Bigham, Vladimir Yordanov, and Dean Jackson are just a few partners that have played a part in the creation of REAP to where we are now.

Martin Meir, Founder & MD – Creator of REAP. Composite engineer, triathlete and heads up the team.

Martin Strzelecki, Chairman (part-time) – Former MD and Owner at Henri Lloyd (see FAQ). Onboard to provide his experience to commercialise REAP’s opportunity.

Ben Meir, Programme Manager – Design Manager and Creative Lead. Triathlete and test pilot.

Sir Jason Kenny, Performance Partner (part-time)– Great Britain’s most decorated Olympian and British Cycling Men’s Sprint Coach. Supporting REAP’s development as part of his next chapter.

Anthony James, Board Member (part-time) – Director at AllRend. Customer and now non-exec board member after experiencing REAP’s offering.

The connections made by REAP over the last seven years have, by extension, turned REAP’s relatively small team into an extensive development machine. Fuelled by our innate curiosity, we believe that our team will be capable of pushing the boundaries in the cycling industry and beyond.
