Hi, my name is Maham, and I recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a 2:1 bachelor’s honours degree in Economics, where I specialised in Econometrics, International Economics, and Development Economics.

My greatest research project to date was completed during my time at Warwick where I researched the impact of abortion provider laws in the US on the income of women of childbearing age using a difference-in-difference analysis and compared the change in income to the rest of the population. This dissertation project has allowed me to develop a strong ability to dissect complex research issues and break them down into more digestible content, and has given me the confidence that my statistical research can be used to enact real change in the world. I can’t wait to continue my love for providing meaningful research content.

In my free time, I love to illustrate, creating children books as side projects to publish later on in the future. I have always been creative, and it’s been a real passion of mine outside of my primary passion for finance and taking on analytical projects. I also love to boulder (free-hand rock climbing) which I picked up in 2022 as a way to get over my fear of injuring my back again after suffering an injury in 2021. I am fluent in 4 languages, and am currently working on improving my Arabic.

My goal is to be able to apply my data analytical skills while also enhancing my communication skills skills and my creativity in problem-solving. I am aspiring towards working as a consultant in the finance world, as I believe it provides me with both the analytical and technical rigour I desire, as well as the opportunity to apply my creativity in solving real-world problems. Consulting also provides a great platform to build lifelong connections with industry professionals and other driven, ambitious candidates like myself.
